The Recipe
While most people will spend a fortune at their local homestore on home fragrance, we’re here to let you in on a little secret. It’s actually cheaper AND easier to make your own at home. One of the best parts about it? You can create a completely custom scent to suit your space best during the holidays.
Here’s how to make a DIY linen spray:
Add alcohol to your spray bottle using the funnel.
Add 15-20 drops of your chosen essential oils, screw on the lid and mix by shaking.
Unscrew the bottle and add water, then screw the lid back on.
Shake for 1-2 minutes to make sure everything is well-mixed.
We told you so—it really is that easy!
TOP TIPS:
If you opt for rubbing alcohol rather than unflavored vodka, you’ll need to thoroughly shake the mixture before each use to ensure ingredients are well-combined.
Remember to label your spray to avoid any mix-ups – nobody wants their linens smelling like lemons and lavender during the festive season!
How to Use DIY Linen Spray
DIY linen sprays are perfect for using throughout the entire home. Spruce up towels, freshen up curtains and make your sofas and bed sheets smell divine.
To use your Christmas DIY linen spray, simply shake before use and spray liberally on any fabric in sight. If you manage to perfect the recipe, your home will radiate a festive aroma throughout the entire holiday season.
