No matter which cycle you choose, you’ll always get to enjoy the benefits of ozone sanitation. Ozone is known as nature’s powerful sanitizer, an innovative laundry solution which destroys bacteria and leaves your clothes soft and smelling oxygen-fresh.
Top tip: Ozone is neutralized by hot water, so if you opt for a warm or hot wash, the machine will only use ozone in the pre-wash and rinse. If you’d like an extra boost, simply choose the “OZONE RINSE” option on your machine’s control panel.
Electrolux Cycle Descriptions at WaveMAX Thornton
1. Cold Cycle
Our cold cycles include a pre-wash, main wash, rise and spin—all completed with cold water. Washing your clothes or sheets on a cooler temperature is a great way to save energy, but it’s also an excellent way to preserve your fabrics. Heat can cause certain materials to shrink, so if you’re washing delicate or fragile pieces, this is the perfect option.
2. Warm or Hot Cycle
Our warm and hot cycles include a pre-wash with cold water, a main wash at your selected temperature, a rinse and a spin. Our machines offer two different cycle options so that you can choose a heat setting suitable for your laundry, as some fabrics can withstand much higher temperatures than others. Always refer to the laundry care symbols on your clothing tags to ensure you make the right choice.
Note: If you notice cold water running through your detergent cups, this isn’t a sign that your wash has run cold. The hot water remains in the drum and does not enter the cups to make sure your hands are protected from potential scorching.
3. Quick Wash
If you’re in a hurry, our quick wash is the perfect solution.
While you’ll still achieve an effective clean, this cycle skips the pre-wash and instead delivers a wash, rinse and spin with cold water. Ideal for those crunched for time, this cycle allows you to throw in your laundry, set to go and head off home within the hour.
4. Delicate
Our delicate cycle is specially designed for your items of laundry which are most easily damaged, including lace intimates, wool sweaters or other fragile materials. To ensure your garments are well-protected, this cycle uses cold water for every stage and the washer itself implements minimal agitation and spins much slower than usual.
Note: This cycle should NOT be used for absorbent items such as towels or comforters. The washer will simply not spin fast enough to achieve an effective rinse, and you’ll be left with some pretty soggy laundry once the cycle is over!
5. Comforter
If you’re desperate for a comforter refresh, there’s no need to panic—we’ve got the perfect cycle for the job. Our comforter mode is only available on our two largest machines (62-Ib and 77-Ib), so we can offer more capacity and water to complete a good clean.
A longer spin cycle on this setting makes it a very effective choice for speedy drying. Your comforter will come out of the wash less damp, saving you time and money at the dryers.
6. Ozone
The final cycle available is the ultimate cleansing wash, and it’s completely powered by ozone. With a longer main wash and increased agitation, this cycle gets to grips with even the most soiled laundry. It also includes an extra rinse which removes any excess detergent—great for those with sensitive skin or conditions like eczema. Completed with an extra long spin cycle for faster drying, you’ll save time and money while enjoying some gloriously fresh laundry!
